adult literacy program

Serves as a post-high school education program for adults with Down syndrome to increase and maintain literacy skills. Academic skills targeted are reading, writing, spelling, math, counting/managing money, and computer literacy.  Additional skills addressed in the program include time management, planning, record keeping, etc. Individual and group sessions are available. Monthly goals are developed based on the student’s needs and assessment. Mastery of these skills leads to accelerated job placement, increased independence, and better quality of life.
