Sibshops, an exciting new program, just for the siblings of people with Down syndrome! The purpose of this program is to provide fun and meaningful activities for siblings ages 8-13 years old, where they can play games, eat snacks, ask questions and discuss their experiences of having a brother or sister with Down syndrome. This experience will give your child the opportunity to network with other siblings who may be experiencing similar situations and feelings (both positive and negative) about having a brother or sister with Down syndrome. A group leader and volunteers will facilitate games and activities (some will be silly and some thought-provoking), but all will be fun. Note: This program is held quarterly.
- Our mission is to improve the lives of people with Down syndrome and their families by providing support, information, education, and advocacy for their rights and concerns, thus enabling each individual to reach his or her full potential.
