A collaborative program of Jefferson Community & Technical College and Down Syndrome of Louisville
“College Connections” Postsecondary Education Program (21+ years)
In partnership with Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC), this program provides an opportunity for young adults with Down syndrome to attend college. This two-year program consists of students enrolling in both specialized courses (designed and taught specifically for “College Connections” students) and mainstream courses of their choice on campus. Students are matched with an academic mentor who assists them in their JCTC courses. A certificate path is currently being developed at the college for this program.
